This was just something we thought we would try out on a whim and we were shocked when we tasted it. It was so good. Like, candy good! Bacon candy…

Once you take these piggies out of the oven you can decide if you want them crispier or just how they are. We threw ours under the broiler for about 1 minute per side and almost burnt them. So, if you decide to make them crispier, just keep an eye on them. The sugar caramelizes and the Sriracha adds a touch of heat. It’s perfectly spicy and sweet. Nearly burnt or not, they will still be the best candy you’ll ever eat!

Ingredients
  1. 8 slices of thick-cut bacon
  2. 1 cup brown sugar
  3. 1 1/2 Tbsp Sriracha
  4. 1/4 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400°. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack in the middle. Grease rack with non-stick spray.
  2. Place bacon on wire rack being careful not to overlap.
  3. In a small bowl, combine sugar, Sriracha and cinnamon. Microwave for 20-25 seconds to make it easier to spread.
  4. Spoon half of mixture onto bacon and spread to cover. Bake for 13 minutes.
  5. Remove bacon and flip. Spread with remaining sugar mixture. Return to oven and bake an additional 13 minutes.
  6. Remove and allow to cool for 2 minutes. If you want the bacon crispier, broil for 30 seconds to 1 minute, watching closely so it doesn't burn.
