If you didn’t know already, we are kind of obsessed with infusing vodka. We posted a guide before and we haven’t stopped since. We tried strawberry this time and it’s probably one of our favorites. The strawberries infuse nicely with the vodka and leaves a super bold strawberry flavor. Our favorite combo with this vodka so far is plain ‘ol lemonade. It’s so refreshing; it’s the perfect sweet drink.
Here are step-by-step pictures of how to make the vodka:
Start by slicing up some strawberries. Fill whatever container you are going to use (we used a mason jar) about 1/3 full.
Fill the rest of the container with vodka and close it up. Store it in the refrigerator for at least 3 days and up to a few weeks. Our was left for about 3 weeks. Every day, just give it a little shake, tip it upside down a couple times and put it back.
When you’re ready, you’ll need another container that the liquid will fit into. a mesh strainer and cheesecloth (or in our case a tea towel).
Place the strainer over a container and pour the vodka into it. This will catch the strawberries and any larger pieces.
Then place the cheesecloth (or tea towel) over the container you want to store it in (making a little crater) and pour the vodka into it.
This will catch all the fine stuff. Store your strawberry vodka in the refrigerator after making yourself this lovely Strawberry Lemonade! (recipe below)
